EcoWorld London is a house builder/developer which was formed in 2018 when Ecoworld International purchased a 70% stake of a Willmott Dixon Housing Division. I have helped establish the systems, procedures and reporting whilst it untangled from Willmott Dixon and setup its own UK head office function. My role oversees the budgeting and funding requirements of the group, whilst continuing to evolve the reporting and efficient processes, through technological enhancements. In 2024 the role has reverted back to Willmott Dixon to help leverage some synergies.

An operator of serviced and residential apartment blocks in the UK. Native (fomerly Go Native) was financially inept when I started and needed lots of rebuilding to create much needed financial information to drive the business forwards. Having re-engineered the function to create a platform for strategic growth, we were able to achieve some private equity investment to finance the next phase of growth. The business changed alot within a few years, moving away from focusing on corporate housing to targeting the BTR market and operating apartment blocks which can be used for both short term and long term requirements. The finance function and systems built kept pace with these changing requirements, along with providing a scalable solution for the future.

Finance Director for a Gap year business, within the activity and specialist Sector of TUI. Inherited a loss making business in a declining market with the challenge of turnaround. Implemented a number of cost cutting and headcount measures to ensure the business was still viable. Took on extra responsibilities for IT, HR and office management to assist in making to the business profitable again. Installed new systems to create automation and further cost savings, which then were used to make improvements in other businesses across the division.

Trek America was part of TUI PLC when I worked there, it specialises in mini bus tours across the US and Canada. Transformed an under performing business into a star of the divison, through instilling drive and required technical skill. I was able to bring some commercial input and add missing accounting processes to contribute to the success of this business. In the first year we achieved over three times the budgeted profit requirement and create a solid platform to move the business forward. After 9 months I was given an additional TUI business to handle, whilst Trek America was eventually spun off into a different division as part of group restructure.

Having completed my MBA and various projects within the finance department, I progressed into the role of Commercial Director. In this role I am responsible for produced the necessary information to help the business review its performance effectively, create business models and financial projections for new products and help assess all areas of the business to ensure optimum performance. I came back to Precise in October 2009 having left 5 months earlier, to help with a small project.

Arrived at the business in time to oversee the implementation of a new billing system critical to the business, the hiveup of 4 trading entities and also a private equity secondary buyout. Having completed these tasks, creating both cost efficiencies and extra revenue, I focussed onto analysing the new streams of data available to help the business move forward.

Handled the integration of the finance operations of the acquired Xtreme News. Managed a team of 6 finance staff. Assisted in production of vendor due diligence with Deloitte during auction process of secondary buyout by exponent private equity.

Headed up the Finance team across the group. Helped the business grow across its divisions - online and offline publishing, eFinancialCareers.com and events business. Helped integrate the US acquistion and manage their finance operations.
