I am a seasoned expert in community health policy research with a successful track record of strategic, analytic, and collaborative leadership. As Chief Science Officer at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), I lead and oversee vital research on how community health centers (CHC) deliver on the “quintuple aim” – improve health outcomes, enhance patient experiences, elevate workforce experiences, and lower the total cost of care, with health equity at the center. Prior to joining NACHC, I was a tenured Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management and the founding research director of the Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health Policy at The George Washington University (GWU). With over three decades of grant writing and program building at GWU, I helped raise over $25 million in grant and gift funding from diverse private organizations and government agencies. With a passion for positively impacting safety health care policy, advancing innovations in care delivery, growing and enhancing health equity solutions, and developing staff skills and high performing teams, I am committed to supporting and fostering relationships with safety net providers, their affiliates, academics, policymakers, and funders.
