Dr. Peter Zucker is an Executive Chairman, Board Member, Operating Partner, and Senior Advisor, helping healthcare organizations achieve large-scale objectives by improving coherence and effectiveness across divisions and teams. With extensive experience in startups, enterprise leadership, and technology and process improvements, Peter leverages his skills as a business leader and psychologist to combine a passion for human services with an entrepreneurial spirit.Currently, Peter serves as Executive Chairman and Operating Partner for Dominion Youth Services, a large community behavioral health organization and ABA provider throughout Virginia, owned by Century Park Capital, a private equity firm. He also served as a Board Member and Senior Advisor for Alsana Health, a national provider of eating disorder care, focusing on clinical services, program development, quality, growth, and staff development.From 1988 to 2016, Peter co-founded and served as CEO of Stars Behavioral Health Group (SBHG), one of California’s largest private for-profit behavioral healthcare providers. SBHG serves over 40,000 clients annually with 2,000 staff members. Additionally, Peter served as Corporate Clinical Director at SunHealth, a national provider of skilled nursing and long-term care, where he developed and implemented behavioral health care programming across the company from 1991 to 1996.With more than 30 years of experience on various boards, Peter specializes in strategic and clinical program implementation, talent development, professional standards, and compliance. His expertise also extends to technology integration, having successfully guided the enterprise-wide launch of new programs and the implementation of EHR, HRIS, LMS, and other IT solutions to address complex operational challenges.Peter began his career in the early 1980s as a psychologist, working in various settings, including hospitals, forensics, and youth services. He has since developed and launched over 75 behavioral health hospitals, facilities, and programs. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and computer science from the State University of New York at Albany and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Peter is a licensed psychologist and a former nursing home administrator.Outside of work, Peter enjoys fitness and wellness activities, including bicycling, skiing, travel, and cooking with his wife and friends. He is married with two young adult sons.
