Schlumberger is the service provider for the Oil and Gas industry and is a very challenging and demanding customer. Here I'm responsible for the technical delivery and everything it encompasses but more important I'm a partner in the delivery to the business at Schlumberger. Having all 40 applications in the IT, Knowledge management and Quality Health Safety and Environment segment available day and night for this global customer is the primary focus. My activities are guiding my team of 5 colleagues in India to do the technical delivery, in case of outages and technical challenging problems escalate to the responsible internal suppliers and help troubleshoot, further have regular meetings on delivery and tactical level to support the client’s business.

As representative of the employees trying to be a worthy sparring partner for the Atos management and make sure that in future plans the companies interest from the employees point of are put forward.

As operational application manager I'm responsible for the complete technical delivery of a number of applications for the customer Schlumberger. My responsibility is the end to end delivery of the application on a day to day base and have regular meetings with the customer to address regular change, incidents and broader path to improve the functioning of the applications. On various occasions I received acknowledgment from the customers that he is a valuable member of the delivery team.

Schlumberger wanted to migrate their datacenter in Brussels that they maintained into an Atos Origin datacenter. My task was to get a set of applications assessed and to create a plan how we could move these from Brussels to Amsterdam with the least downtime and data integrity guaranteed. For this he had discussions with the customer to understand all the details of the applications and of course the executing of the migration by myself and the delivering parties on the infrastructure level.As an extra task during this period I migrated a separate application from the Houston area that needed to be moved with high urgency due to the landfall of hurricane Rita (Sept 2005) shortly after the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina.Both the regular migration and urgent migration from Houston where performed successfully by me.

The Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water management hosted their internet, intranet and internet access facilities with Atos Origin. My primary task was the day to day technical operations of that environment addressing all the technical problem, requests to add remove or update sites and reports on both use and security requests. With this the ministry was able to host a large amount of sites and have a stable internet connective to the internet with all the related security and functional services.

Started at KPN as a UNIX sysadmin. Doing Administration on a number of E-commerce systems for KPN this was not limited to operating system only but also to the applications running onto like NetTransact, NetXchange and Intershop 3,4 and Enfinity.Later I was technical responsible for the functioning of the Internet sites, Intranet sites and Internet connectivity the largest ministry in the Netherlands

Was detached to numerous different companies as system administrator, service desk employee and 1st line troubleshooter. Some of the companies where:N.V. Nederlands Gasunie, Wartsila NSD Corp., Honeywell, Noordelijk Dageblad Combinatie and others.
