Previously as MDAssisi Environmental Services Ltd (Northern and Southern) has grown from being an independent asbestos consultancy to a multi disciplined organisation which works in partnership with its clients in order to create economical solutions to compliance issues.Originally I named the company Asbestos Surveyors UK Ltd but expansion into other environmental issues such as legionella, EPC's, fire etc meant a total change of name and re-brand was required. I led the company through the name change which retained the history but removed the restrictions associated with 'asbestos surveying'. The name 'Assisi' is a place in Italy and The Patron Saint of the environment hails from this city. The new brand logo is an adaption of the 'Assisi' coat of arms. The responsibility of rebranding, gaining UKAS accreditation along with ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 along with gaining acceptance into The Legionella Control Association and guiding individuals through training programs in order to prepare the 'new' company for 2013 has been exhilerating to say the least. What a challenge - but we are there now! In March 2013 the new 'all in one' service was launched. The new service saves social landlords up to 60% on compliance issues and it will give them an exit clause from any existing 'framework' agreement they are currently tied up in. Housing associations are reducing expenditure and carbon footprints!To continue leading this company which I started, nurtured and cared for is an absolute pleasure.
