About Mike Petix

Michael Petix has spent his career finding, closing and managing debt, equity and real property investments for restructurings, buy-outs and general corporate purposes. Michael develops deep corporate / sponsor finance and capital connections to leverage his network and that of O'Keefe Consulting for capital raising engagements, M&A, restructuring, direct investment and performance / strategy consulting. Michael holds his Series 79 and 63 investment banking securities licenses to conduct transactions under FINRA regulation.With Citizens Bank, Petix delivered lending solutions to intermediaries, private equity sponsors, corporates and Bank relationships in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, New York State and Western PA where he managed Citizens, Midwestern ABL product offering from 2010 - 2023. Through P-Tech Management LLC, Mike has sourced and analyzed transactions to purchase performing and non-performing loans on self-storage, multi-family, hotels and senior living properties and worked with investors to close these purchases. P-Tech also managed the business development of "Rescue Equity" deals for a number of private equity groups, sourced through the lending and turnaround community during the Great Recession. Petix moved from Chicago in the late 1990’s to his native Detroit area where he opened and ran bank and investment banking offices for Bank of America, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and The CIT Group. Since the early 1990’s, he has worked in corporate finance, new loan origination, underwriting, workout and portfolio management. Prior to then, Petix spent time in due diligence audit management for GE Capital and started out his career in internal audit for Dow Chemical. He has held positions where he focused on working with automotive suppliers and selling European investment banking services to his domestic clients.Petix has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University and a BSBA degree with majors in finance and accounting from Central Michigan University. He is a CPA and has invested in self-storage, equipment rental and other real estate and private equity ventures. Mike has been an active member of the Commercial Finance Association (SFNet), the Society of Automotive Analysts, the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth.
