I was born in Kutná Hora, Central Bohemia where I did my studies till university. Since childhood, I was always an extremely curious kid, pursuing a broad range of interests. I spent a great deal of my time lying in books but on the other hand I have always loved some kind of physical activity. It could have been anything from playing football, running, biking or hiking.My love for computers started with those small single game handhelds and soon evolved into passion for programming. Throughout my career I passed through several companies of different forms and sizes and I enjoyed working for all of them. Whether it was a small startup or a big international behemoth, I always loved being close to the business people, communicating with them and trying to solve their problems. I was never this typical IT nerd guy sitting in the corner.After more than 20 years of back-end development experience using Microsoft technologies I ended up working in Alza.cz as a part of their Marketing team, leading the small automation team. In this position I found the perfect balance between leading and tutoring people and something what I love most throughout my career - to still be able to produce working pieces of software that actually brings some change, helps people with mundane tasks and ensure their goals are achieved faster, more cheaply and more reliably.My strong points are learning new skills and programming languages, communication, caring for teammates and keeping team spirit high. My main proficiencies are in Python, C#, SQL, Git but I have experience with Azure and BigQuery databases.
