The position itself included various responsibilities, including providing advice to the Board of Directors and other departments regarding various corporate governance, disclosure, regulatory and other matters, negotiations and advice on international loan agreements, liaison with external counsel in the Middle East and Africa, advice on the need to restructure transactions due to local laws, liaison with the police, state attorney, and the regulator, systems analysis, as well as a gap analysis with regards to procedures and systems.Part of the job was the review of regulatory changes and the dissemination of regulatory updates to other departments, including the recent developments in the ESG (sustainability) space.

Day-to-day management (legal) of FX & Interest Rates OTC Derivatives trading in London, both in terms of transactions and in terms of response to regulatory requirements and changes. Included project and change management.

Negotiation of ISDAs (English & occasionally NY Law), German DRVs (Rahmenverträge für Finanztermingeschäfte) and Swiss OTC Master Agreements. Responsibilities included netting reviews for contracts with German clients, the provision of training & informal change/project management.

The work included event organisation for conferences, teaching coordination in hospitals, speaking engagements (emerging tech conference), an Assistant Editor position for a film that won “Best Thriller” at the New York Independent Film Festival, a prop assistant role, and several voice-overs for BBC productions, and several temp Executive Assistant roles for a number of CEOs and department heads in London and Canada. The EA roles may look like a weird choice for a lawyer, but they were a good way to rapidly improve my English and to get into positions at the top of international companies and to learn the ropes there, while still having enough time for the creative work I was engaged in at the time.Acting credits include a solo appearance in the musical review "In our time" in the London Palladium, appearances as a supporting actress in the Arcola and Bridewell theatres in London in productions directed by Bafta award winner Julia Pascal, as well as in the "March of Time" in Wellingborough (which was later broadcast on TV), lead actress in the long-running production of "Murder in the Cafe Noir" in South Florida, several Voice-overs for the BBC, as well as various other credits.
