Harold and the Purple Crayon was my favorite book as a child. I liked how Harold could control his vision of the world and use his imagination to improve that world. I still believe that imagination, dedication, and looking at things a little differently continue to have the power of change.I believe in hard work and in the fact that my work makes a difference. Whether I am working with a group of peers, family members for my charity, the public, my community, or people who need a helping hand; they all deserve 100% of what I have to offer. My greatest talent is reading people and their silent "tells". Everyone has them even when they don't want to admit it! The longer I know a person the less they can hide from me, even a stranger can't escape my capabilities!My special talent is writing poetry and it is also one of my greatest loves. I can't cook but I appreciate the artist in those who can. I love my family and do the best I can for them. I recognize that in some areas I am average, no one is perfect at all things; but I would rival anyone in my amount of try.It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.-Alan Cohen
