IoT Sweden is a national initiative to make Sweden a leading force in the usage of the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT Sweden is one of 17 strategic innovation programmes funded by government research councils Vinnova, The Swedish Energy Agency and Formas.As Chairman of the Board of Directors I led the strategic development of the program. This, together with a multidisciplinary set of Board members from Industry, Academia and Public sector.

Focusing in on required, novel ways of working, eco-system partnerships, and business model transformation. Showcasing for example the Battery Box that today consists in the format of Tools for you.

Leading the Connectivity Hub, the organizational catalyst for IoT at Husqvarna Group and all its’ Divisions at that time, defining the idea space, the initial product- and service roadmaps, and the areas to prioritize, i.e., the vital few, as in Husqvarna Fleet Services for professionals, Gardena Smart for innovative and eco-friendly gardeners and Husqvarna Connect for anyone longing to have all services and information in one place. During a short period of time between Research and Industry I worked as IoT and UX specialist Consultant at ayond, a digital agency with great talent and atmosphere.

During, and after my Master thesis, and part-time during my years as PhD student I did software development work for the senior researchers assisting them with their research vehicles.

Conducting research in the direction of exploring digital as a material to work with, understand and take inspiration from in the processes of multidisciplinary design.

Granted 12-month research scholarship as part of the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM), where I as part of the Christian Doppler Laboratory spent my time exploring the idea of specially designed car games making it fun to sit safe.

My PhD thesis was a design exploration of Affective Loop Experiences deployed on digital communication, designing, building and evaluating the GeoNotes, eMoto and FriendSense systems, i.e. my research vehicles.GeoNotes - What might have been the first location based system for virtual messaging.eMoto - A mobile messaging system for extending on both input and output channels when sending digital messages.FriendSense - A system in collaboration with TeliaSonera exploring sensor nodes in the context of emotional expressivity and network Communication.

Granted an internship position at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, UK, exploring an idea I had on what I called Inspirational Bits - small, inspirational investigations of specific technologies with the intent of exposing and making dynamic properties tangible, visible and ultimately understandable for all members of a design team.
