I take great pride and satisfaction from assessing risks offering diverse and dynamic advice to provide the most appropriate improvement solutions. This normally requires change management which is a challenge in itself. Dealing with this allows my ability to be innovative to shine through, in making positive changes for the entire organisation, from a risk and control perspective. I have managed and successfully completed projects whilst working in Risk Management and Internal Audit in a variety of industries focussed on setting up risk management and / or aligning the internal audit activities with a risk based mind-set. My point of focus has been creating awareness of risks which are relevant for the organisation in order to be able to steer management, the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board in the right direction in risk matters.My strong leadership ability has given me a proven track record in managing and implementing change within organisations to support the entire organisation. In my last role, I very successfully managed a significant change in Risk and Internal Control, initiating a 'Three Lines of Defence' mind-set within Schiphol Group. Under my guidance, Schiphol Group's Internal Audit was certified in 2019, complying with the Standards of the Institute of Internal Audit and the latest Corporate Governance Code of 2018.
