I design, develop and facilitate the Community Education workshops which include courses for consumers and peer workers on a range of topics such as self-advocacy, consumer representation, co-facilitation, mentoring and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Advocacy begins with the individual, and through skills-based training consumers are prepared with the tools to communicate effectively in a range of situations. Informed individuals then have the capacity to represent the consumer voice to the wider community where systemic change can happen.

I designed, developed and facilitated 2 x 2 day workshops to assist Mental Health Peer Workers to support others to access/transition to the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme). The target audience for this training has been those working in the Mental Health Peer Workforce. The workshop included information about the scheme and strategies to assist Peer Workers to pre-plan with the individuals they were supporting.

I facilitated business English training online for a Japanese Language School. The content of the lessons is based on books from Oxford Press or developed using other content tailored to the individual student.

I was a Facilitator and Grapher using the PATH process to help people with a disability and their families to achieve life goals. This involves either facilitating a goal-planning session, or using a visual graphic approach to capture the discussion and create a large dynamic poster with the 'PATH-seekers' goals and and ways to achieve them.PATH is an acronym for 'Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope'. It is a future-planning/goal setting process that combines elements of a number of vision-building and future planning tools.

I facilitated and sourced/planned training and development for staff working in a Disability Employment Agency.In addition, I assisted jobseekers and workers registered with the agency to develop skills such as goal setting, communication, conflict resolution, confidence, career planning and interview skills. This was done through the delivery of workshops, learning circles or one-on-one training.

As a worker for a Disability Employment Service, I assisted jobseekers with a range of barriers to identify career paths and develop skills necessary to find and keep a job. Once they were placed in the workplace, I liased with the employer and provided support to assist the new worker to become competant in their job.The support I provided included training, development and support both in the training room and on the job.

I provided support in IT and literacy classes for students with a range of barriers including LLN, learning and intellectual disabilities. I delivered training in adaptive technology (JAWS and Zoomtext - for vision impairment and blindness) and Literacy software (WYNN).

I delivered training and conducted assessments for a Registered Training Organisation, for qualifications in the IT, Business, Community Services, and TAA Training Packages. I developed and delivered both on-on-one and workshop training, speciallising in training taliored for learners with a range of barriers including LLN, intellectual and vision impairment. This included courses developed specifically to use adaptive technology that assists blind and vision imparied users to access computers, and included a course developed for Canberra Blind Society on how to safely use the internet when making financial transactions, using internet banking etc in conjunction with adaptive technology (JAWS and ZoomText).The skills I developed when providing training to students with a range of barriers led to training Teacher's Aides in the school system on how to better support students with vision impairment, as well as training other trainers in strategies to support barriers in training environment, and developing an inclusive learning culture.

I delivered training in Adaptive Technology (JAWS, ZoomText) and IT (Word-processing, spreadsheets, internet/email) to blind and vision impaired students.
