As BD Coordinator for Stibbe's Corporate and Finance lawyers, I am responsible for all marketing and business development related activities for these practice areas, such as drafting and analysing proposals for both companies and public entities, preparing submissions for the legal directories, drafting marketing materials including brochures and presentations, coordination of seminars and other events, advising the lawyers in their efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities, conducting client and sector research and analysis to identify targets and opportunities, preparing texts for internal and external communication, managing the content and development of various BD databases.As Stibbe is a leading full service Benelux law firm, I am used to coordinating large (panel) pitches spanning multiple legal practice areas.

Belgian Bankers Academy (BBA) is a non-profit association incorporated under Belgian law. BBA strongly contributes to the development of the banking, financial and insurance sector, including the microfinance sector, in Belgium and internationally. It was founded in 1997 by the Belgian Bankers' Association (now Febelfin). Traditionally, BBA's activities have evolved along three business lines: Consultancy, Training, and Financial and Bank Simulations.I was responsible for the management of BBA's (international) projects. I managed the full lifecycle of a project: looking for new opportunities, drafting technical and financial proposals, project management, including all technical and budgetary aspects. Apart from assignments for companies, many BBA-projects were carried out for institutional clients, such as European Commission, EIB, World Bank, according to their specific procedures. I maintained the contacts with the (external) experts and partners and looked after the management of different databases.

When I started working at the training department, I took care of the practical organisation of the seminars organised for the member banks, including registrations, preparation of documentation and evaluations. Over the years, I became responsible for the coordination of all training programs: drafting the annual planning, meetings with speakers/teachers to define content and practical modalities, drafting and formatting brochures and leaflets, introducing the seminars.
