During these years, DAKO has grown into a company with fifty employees. We participate in realizations which attract the attention of the professional community, became a member of the GRCA (International Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association) and built a second production hall with a line for large-area GRC 3D products, having an area of 3,360 m2.A lot has changed since I joined DAKO as a manual temporary worker. The company has grown, and from my point of view – I matured with it. It never occurred to me before that we would gradually work our way up from the original garage of 300 m2 to our own premises with two production halls. And to the plans for the construction of the third hall.In the last year, I decided to realize my long-term goal and lead the company through re-branding. And now, I am looking forward to what the future will bring us.

After ten years of working at DAKO, I became the CEO of the company. A diametrically different type of work awaited me. I have gained responsibility for getting new orders and concluding contracts. Suddenly, my link with the company reached a totally new level – my job was to perceive cashflow, communicate with people in the company more and to understand production and processes really well. It depended on me to have money for employees , many of whom I considered my friends. The crucial point came at the moment when I acquired my dad’s office – I put aside things that needed to rest, cleaned the table and “started the ball rolling”.One of the first projects I helped to bring alive, was to build own premises with a production hall for reinforced concrete semi-automatic toilet modules.Besides, I focused the company’s attention on the development and production of the ventilated facades of glass fibre reinforced concrete. Thanks to this, we at DAKO are now able to guide our customers through the process of harmonizing the architect’s design with the possibilities of GRC technology, the project budget, up to the design of the anchorage system.

I have added marketing to my business activities since 2007. DAKO had 15 employees at that time, and a lot of things were done without a suitable background. As it is often the case of small companies, everyone held several positions in order to manage everything in time.

In 2004, I returned to DAKO, taking the position of a sales representative of semi-automatic toilet modules this time. Every day, I travelled all over the country with a catalogue of my own production. Meeting a lot of new people and hearing a new story every day was inspirational. I was around twenty years old, so it was quite a great adventure for me to make an appointment with the mayors and present our products with the help of self-made materials.Together with my dad, we often visited constructions sites, and I accompanied him to business meetings to observe him at work. Gradually, I gained new experience, learnt to communicate with people and found out how things work in the business world. From today’s point of view, this period was one of the most beneficial in my life.

At the age of fifteen, I started working at my father’s company as a manual temporary worker. My job was to rivet the screws, clean up the mess in the hall, learn how it worked in the production process. It was a good and proper school for me. To this day, I benefit from the fact that I could get hands-on experience with many things back then. Another advantage was meeting people from the production, many of whom still work with us today.
