During my year as an assistant at the Clinical Microbiology Lab of the military hospital, I took on a wide range of responsibilities. I conducted urinalysis, microbial cultures, and optical microscopy, providing crucial support for the hospital’s diagnostic needs. I handled COVID-19 testing, including both rapid antigen tests and molecular diagnostics.My role included frequent 24-hour shifts, where I was responsible for meeting the microbiological needs of the Emergency Department, often working independently under high-pressure conditions. In addition to my lab duties, I fulfilled my military obligations, balancing both clinical and military responsibilities throughout the year.

During my internship as a lab analyst, I focused on conducting challenge tests, primarily for cosmetic products. This test, also known as the Preservative Efficacy Test (PET), assesses the effectiveness of a product's preservative system against microbial contamination. My work was essential for ensuring product safety and quality, verifying that products can withstand various types of contamination during production and use. This role was part of my participation in the "Regeneration" program (https://www.regeneration.gr/en/).
