Foreign Correspondent - Producer - Documentary Filmmaker 𝗠𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆It all started on a small Greek island with a simple idea that led a kid to unexpected trouble. That idea? To make a movie. The trouble? Selling my parents' books on the street to raise funds for the project.Although many years have passed since then, that same entrepreneurial spirit and passion for storytelling continue to inspire me to go the extra mile in pursuing creative ideas. This drive has shaped my journey into journalism—a career spanning nine years of news reporting, video production, and documentary filmmaking, where I’ve built a strong foundation in editorial work, storytelling, and production.𝗠𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱Throughout my career, I have cultivated expertise in managing every aspect of video production, seamlessly balancing logistics with creative execution. I have worn many hats and seamlessly transitioned between mediums and formats, blending the strengths of independent work and collaborative team efforts.As a foreign correspondent in Washington for major Greek and Cypriot outlets, I have sharpened my skills in newsgathering, research, and fact-checking. My work involves providing in-depth news analysis and context for U.S. politics and international affairs, shaping the narratives that inform audiences in two distinct countries.
