Matt is an experienced, senior IT leadership executive working nearly 40 years in the IT industry as both the customer and the vendor with over 20 years serving at the VP or CIO level. He has built and managed IT departments from complete startups to publicly traded companies. The bulk of his experience is in the healthcare industry but also expands into manufacturing, federal and state government, department of defense and recording industry management.Matt’s expertise is with fast growing organizations either by merger and acquisition and/or through de novo construction. He has worked with many companies from their initial founding all the way to private equity merging as well as to initial public offering (IPO). Because of this diverse need to support rapidly changing company structures, multi-system integrations, multi-level enterprise reporting and public auditing requirements, Matt has developed the strong ability to manage simultaneously at both the company portfolio level strategically and at the individual company project levels tactically. To accomplish this often-nationwide, dispersed work timely and within budget, Matt as spent the considerable portion of his career building strong, agile IT teams focused with not only efficient helpdesk, application support, security and infrastructure talent but also enterprise level data warehouse reporting and data governance skills.Matt has over a decade of experience with HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) auditing requirements and annual audit efforts. He has developed and managed IT budgets from single-site construction and equipment replacement efforts in the $100’s of thousands in size to full enterprise annual IT budgets totaling more than $40M for a $2B publicly traded company.
