Contract and permanent

- Using the scrum methodology, participated in the conception, implementation and maintenance of a large-scale AWS platform. Said platform includes machine learning components helping customers reduce their energy consumption, and thus, their overall utility bills. I had the opportunity to plan a major refactor of our database schema and APIs in order to support our next-generation of products.- Worked on machine learning solutions, notably a classification algorithm using a custom distance evaluation function working on fine-grained time series. (iPython, scikit-learn, numpy, pandas)- Integrated Python back-end with various internal and external services such as utility APIs, weather APIs and Salesforce. (AWS: EC2, SQS, Lambdas, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB)- Implemented parts of Rails services, including an automated event-based mailer.- Participated in DevOps efforts such as Jenkins optimisations, development of a better database backup solution and code deployment improvements. (Jenkins, Supervisor, Docker)

- Performed R&D related to video cameras, still cameras, scalable multimedia systems, social medias and electronics, in accordance with Software Engineering practices (Python, Qt, Kivy, C++, Android, Raspberry Pi, Kinect, Unity) - Designed and programmed real-time multimedia systems used by thousands of participants in events in Canada and the USA (Python, AWS, Tornado/WebSocket, JavaScript, C++) - Performed on-site installation and support for systems sold in various locations, establishing contact with new customers in the process- Created, configured and maintained multiple Linux servers on Amazon Web Services (AWS, Flask, Apache, MySQL).

- Programmed different modules on a real-time, giant scale aircraft simulator - Developed network applications used for communication between maintenance devices and cockpit instruments - Tested and debugged systems on the aircraft simulator - Made sure the source code respected the manufacturer’s specifications and standards - Worked in an Agile environment (SCRUM), participated in the processes’ amelioration initiatives, wrote and corrected Software Engineering documents
