Ignacio Peydro is a PhD architect registered in Spain and the United Kingdom. He is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and member of the Madrid Institute of Architecture (COAM). Along with his partner, Isabel Collado, Ignacio Peydro is a principal of DOSIS, an internationally acknowledged architecture studio based in Madrid. Before establishing DOSIS, he worked at Mansilla + Tuñón in Madrid, and for David Chipperfield Architects in London. He studied Architecture at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) and at the Bartlett in London (UCL). He obtained a SMArchS in Architecture Design in 2014, a post professional advanced master degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship and a MIT Department of Architecture Graduate Fellowship. He holds an international PhD from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which he obtained after reading his thesis ‘Contingency in Post-Situationist Architecture’ in January of 2016. He is a passionate creator, teacher, and scholar that has lectured at prestigious universities such as the Architectural Association in London, MIT, ETSAM, and IE University among others. He is currently Professor of the Practice at ETSAM Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in the department of Architecture Design (DPA). With over 15 years of diverse professional expertise across 150+ global projects in various building types, including residential, commercial, educational, and cultural, Ignacio Peydro leverages a visionary approach and exceptional technological proficiency to lead teams to consistently challenge the confines of the built environment to create buildings that enhance life experiences, with the aim to shape healthier cities and contribute to building a better world.
