Hello! My name is Peyton Brooks and I am a junior at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am currently pursuing a B.A. in Exercise and Sport Science on the Sports Administration track and a minor in Entrepreneurship through the Shuford program. I am also a fellow in the Southern Futures inaugural cohort through UNC's College of Arts and Sciences. I am currently interning with the UNC Football program in the Recruitment and Operations department where I assist in mass communication efforts with prospects from across the country. I also help with planning and organizing recruitment events throughout the semester where I can master skills in hospitality, multitasking, and interpersonal communication. I also work as a junior varsity coach at Chapel Hill High School. As a coach, I play a pivotal role in developing young athletes by adhering to their physical, mental, and teamwork abilities. My main responsibilities include designing and implementing practice schedules, teaching game strategies, fostering teamwork, and ensuring the overall physical and mental development of the players. Overall I serve as a role model instilling sportsmanship, work ethic, and discipline both on and off the court.When I'm not in Kenan Football Center or the Chapel Hill gym you can find me taking a fitness class at the SRC, playing beach volleyball, playing piano for RUF's weekly large group, or back at home in Robeson County spending time with my family or cooking up a delicious Lumbee family recipe.
