Attending Colorado State University has opened a wide variety of doors for me and my professional career. It has been mainly through clubs and organizations that I have attained over 200 hours in volunteer work with various organizations including Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the US Forest Service, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and more. This work has involved everything from workshops to internships and it has helped me build many valuable skills including, species identification, data collection, collaboration, self motivation, adaptability, professionalism, data analysis. I have had hands on work with camera traps, radio telemetry, GIS mapping, working in lab setting and many other data collection equipment.

  As a research assistant with the Center for Human Carnivore Coexistence (CHCC), I assisted my supervisor with her research project that looked into what affects a stakeholder’s trust in Colorado Parks and Wildlife. My primary task was to analyze interview transcripts and asses reoccurring themes I found within them to create a tentative code book that would help answer the primary research question.
