I am an NC State University alumni with associate degrees in applied science for agriculture business management and field crop technology in the agricultural institute. I graduated in the fall of 2019.In college I was an active member in the AGI club, member of the Delta Tau Alpha honors society, and Deans List.I started working for Fowler’s crop consulting in Roanoke Rapids, NC, as a part time summer employee when I was 16 until I was 18 years old from 2015-2017. I scouted cotton, soybeans, grain sorghum, and peanuts. There, I recorded information on agronomic pests, diseases, growth, and weed identification for threshold management. I assisted at two research farms, took soil samples, utilized online databases syncing agronomic info. I have worked with many farmers in Halifax, Northampton, Southampton, and Isle of Wight counties. Interned at Coastal Agrobusiness in Murfreesboro Nc, for 2018-2019 summers. There, I became familiar with fertilizers, seed, chemicals, parts, and retail ag. I built relationships with clients, assisted with sales and managed inventory, filed paperwork, and took tissue samples. I also scouted crops, made customer deliveries, made phone calls, and used problem solving skills on a daily basis. I am currently working at Benchmark buildings and irrigation where I work as a service tech. There, I troubleshoot issues and service center pivots, linear, and corner arm pivots with a variety of other tasks. I fix electrical and mechanical problems in the field. I serve as a rep for the company helping farmers with their needs and assist them with product needs. Participate in trainings and complete work orders and service reports. Other tasks include welding, reading schematics, heavy equipment use, and construction.Also have experience in taxidermy and lawn care.
