As a weekly volunteer, I am available to assist a team of 3-7 pasteurization technicians and support staff at each shift. We pasteurize human milk and process microbiological samples according to standards set forth by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA). Additionally, we have the opportunity to educate donors regarding milk donation and milk banking. With each shift I maintain milk processing lab sanitation, temperature logs and equipment. Finally, as a long time volunteer, I am able to train volunteer staff and students.

As a representative for University Dining, I engaged students via special events, tabling, and cooking demonstrations. We served the larger University community by assisting campus chefs with catering events, answering parents' questions about meal plans, and continuously retrieving feedback from the campus community to improve food selection, accessibility, and allergy safety on campus.

As a member of the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle Community Health Education Intern team, I teach weekly culinary and nutrition education classes using Share Our Strengths Cooking Matters curriculum, develop nutrition education materials geared towards senior citizen nutrition, and serve bi-monthly in volunteer organization and program implementation for a grocery-delivery program.

As an Orientation Leader for New Student Programs, I was given the opportunity to guide 1,100 young adults and their families in their transition to university setting over the course of 6 weeks of orientation. Throughout programming, I served as a panelist to an audience of 400 on a weekly basis, conducted small group discussions rooted in inclusion and success in all areas of life on a college campus, and served as an upperclassmen resource. This position also afforded me the opportunity to manage a university Twitter account and relay professional University messages.
