Much like a rugby team (where it gets its name) training for the big game, scrum encourages teams to learn through experiences, self-organize while working on a problem, and reflect on their wins and losses to continuously improve. While scrum is most frequently used by software development teams, its principles and lessons can be applied to all kinds of teamwork.As a passionate economist, I analyze and interpret market data, with special attention given to macroeconomic trends and technical analysis. As a member of the Department of Homeland Security's branch of the Coast Guard, I enjoyed a multitude of experiences around the world. They included Dauphin helicopter systems maintenance and structural repair, helicopter search and rescue missions, port and waterway patrols, counter-narcotics operations, and area mapping and first responder for environmental disasters (Deepwater Horizon oil spill, 2010 Haiti Earthquake).
