I wear several hats at East Energy and jump in wherever there is a need: maintaining environmental permitting compliance, supporting HR as needed--especially recruitment and interviewing--and assisting with project development. But my passion is transportation logistics and my favorite part of the job is working on long term rail strategy--our goal is to move 750+ tons of ag waste biomass fuel daily between pollution centers and our three power plants by 2024--all by rail, eliminating truck pollution, road wear, and congestion in a classic railroad win.

I was an early employee of the Power Resource group and worked in supply chain administration and as Director of Operations. We successfully built a cutting-edge biomass power plant and feedstock operation gathering 250 tons per day of ag waste across a 200-mile radius. This success enabled key members of the development side of PRG and the Operations side of Carolina Poultry Power to move onto the new, bigger and better East Energy.
