The Starlite Showroom is a mid-century modern high-end furniture showroom specializing in designer furniture pieces and other antique homewares and decor from the 1950-1970s. My responsibilities at the Starlite Showroom include, but are not limited to, assisting patrons by informing and educating them on the pieces for sale, independently opening, closing, and maintaining the showroom, handling furniture and art, arranging displays and furniture composition, and handling monetary transactions.

Hendershot’s is a coffee house and coffee roaster, bar, and concert hall/venue. At Hendershot’s my responsibilities include but are not limited to: bartending, barista, roasting coffee in-house, attending to all coffee and bar patrons (many of which are regulars), bar patrons, and performers, serving coffee, food, and alcohol in very high-speed, high-volume situations, cleaning and maintaining the shop,taking food and drink orders, serving breakfast and lunch, and memorizing all coffee and bar drink recipes. I have also helped make digital and analog graphics for events and specials happening at Hendershot’s. Over the years here I have developed great relationships with regular patrons, staff, and management.

I first began working at the Marietta Country Club in 2015 as a pool attendant and waitress. My responsibilities there included, but were not limited to: taking and delivering food and beverage orders, cleaning up the pool deck and surrounding areas, cleaning the kitchen and and bathrooms, folding towels, bartending, and hosting kid’s birthday parties (decorating and providing buffet style food and drink, etc). I later became a mobile golf course beverage attendant, and also worked inside the country club as a bartender, server, and childcare specialist. As a beverage attendant on the golf course, my responsibilities included, but were not limited to: stocking my own cart and coolers everyday and throughout the day with a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and snacks, icing the coolers down and replenishing the ice throughout the day, taking drink orders and bartending in the cart, and providing a top notch customer service experience, as country club members expect good service for the fees they pay to be apart of it. I bartended and waited tables inside the country club for banquets and other events, also providing that same top notch service. I also worked in the childcare sector, taking care of children and entertaining them while their parents attended events in other areas of the club. For all of my positions at the country club, I was expected to provide exceptional service, as well as keeping the facilities and my work areas clean and tidy to provide the best possible experience for the members. Whether that be sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, bussing tables, dusting, etc, all staff at the country club were expected to keep everything in tip top shape.
