With over five years of customer service experience in the retail industry, I have learned key communication skills and problem-solving strategies. Throughout my career, I have gained confidence in my decision to study Fashion and Textile Management at North Carolina State University. Currently, I am a junior with a strong passion for learning about buying, marketing, social media, and brand management.My education is a top priority, and it has instilled strong values in me to always work hard and put my best foot forward. As a result, I have been on the Dean's List for the past two years. Along with academic success, I have become involved on campus by joining the National Retail Federation.I began my career in the apparel industry as a salesperson at a local boutique and have since worked for four different businesses in the Raleigh area. My biggest accomplishment was being a Summer Retail Intern at Talbots because I was able to meet corporate employees who showcased their areas of expertise. As a result, I received guidance on different career paths and realized that I am interested in a business-centric and number-oriented position within a fashion company.Working for both small businesses and corporations has given me a variety of technological skills, specifically through different POS and inventory systems. Additionally, I am Microsoft Word and PowerPoint certified.One of my biggest takeaways from working in the field has been the importance of creating personal relationships with both customers and colleagues, regardless of the size of the company.Outside of my education and work, I value quality time with friends and my dogs!
