Hi, my name is Peyton Garrett. I graduated high school at Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas, in the class of 2022. I am currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am majoring in Finance, intending to go into insurance; however, options are open. I am currently enrolled in four classes: History up to the Civil War, Professionalism and Communication in Business, Rhetoric, and Introductory Financial Accounting. I am now aiming to graduate in the year 2026. When it comes to working, I have experience in customer service and the food industry. I worked at Buffalo Wild Wings, starting as a host and cashier for about a year. After being a host, I went into the kitchen to learn how to cook on a flattop grill and fryers. These two years taught me how to work as a team and actively communicate in a high-stress environment. Then I took a break from work to focus on school and worked at Wahlburgers around graduation time. I am currently employed as a cook at Wahlburgers, but my focus is still on school. My strengths in the workplace include time management, adaptability, leadership, and fast learning. My weaknesses tend to be that I am a bit of a perfectionist and that I like to take control of my environment. Currently, I am working on how to communicate with people in a professional tone. My experience as a host/cashier taught me how to speak to people, so they feel invited and welcomed.
