I am an undergraduate student at the University of Georgia studying a B.S. of Health Promotion with an emphasis in behavioral medicine on a pre-med pathway. I have a passion for public health, understanding community health challenges, and addressing health disparities in underserved populations. Through my degree I am gaining valuable insights into the ways in which public health strategies impact patient care and clinical decision-making. I have been certified as a Medical Assistant through the National Healthcare Association. My work experience includes conducting research as a research assistant at the Medical College of Georgia in the Augusta University Department of Physiology. Through MCG I have learned extensively about the research process, physiological impacts of hypertension, and data analysis. I have also shadowed at Wellstar Hospital in Augusta, GA to increase my medical knowledge and clinical experience. I have been working part-time in food service to gain professional experience and business knowledge. At the University of Georgia, I aim to expand my knowledge by volunteering, shadowing, and gaining employment experience.
