Responsible for architecture, design, prototyping, and bringing to life the next generation cloud migration of Horizon's full suite of food service software packages. Identified and hired top talent to augment existing development resources, and led the team of 8 back end and front end developers building out the solution. Researched and identified a 3rd party UI/UX consulting firm to assist with design and prototyping to create a game-changing solution that is taking the market by storm. Worked with IT and our selected hosting provider to develop requirements and design a scalable, load-balanced system architecture for the platform.Solution Architecture Overview:• .Net 4.5 ASP.Net MVC5 web application utilizing Entity Framework 6, SQL Server, and Telerik KendoUI• Rich UI WPF client POS application harnessing a WebAPI endpoint for real-time communication to the cloud infrastructure.• High-volume transaction processing .Net WebAPI 2.1 service to update the POS terminal data and process real-time transactions. The API is currently handling 60,000+ transactions per day, with 1-3% CPU utilization on 2 IIS Web Servers.• 3 Additional Net WebAPI 2.1 endpoints to interface with Horizon’s payment processing platform, an optional client service to feed files to the cloud, and a reporting API that integrates with the main web application.• A complex, highly-scalable hybrid multi-tenant database architecture for data security and segregation between customers.

Responsible for management of mobile application development including design and architecture of enterprise level web services and associated mobile applications. TrayManager (Android)• Developed a new Android application and web service architecture to provide real-time tray tracking and management for Horizon’s patient feeding solution. • Researched and identified cutting edge, industrialized Android devices with integrated 2D barcode scanning technology. The application was designed and developed to work with both the Motorola MC40 as well as the DAP M4305.• Designed a RESTful web service platform utilizing a self-hosted .Net 4.5 WebAPI web service and .Net 4.5 Entity Framework data models. MyPaymentsPlus (Android and iOS)• Worked with the web team to develop a payment application integrated with a web product already offered by the company (www.MyPaymentsPlus.com).• Assisted in the design and development of a RESTful WCF/JSON web services platform.• Completed the iOS version of the application (iPhone and iPad), guided the app through internal testing and validation, and published to the Apple App Store in July 2012.• Developed the project scope, requirements, and timelines for producing the Android version of the MyPaymentsPlus app, and worked with management to get the project moved to the front of the development pipeline, setting a release target for the end of 2012.• Completed the full development lifecycle from planning, through code complete, and organized test plans for the Android release, and posted the app to the Google Play store and Amazon app store in January of 2012.

Development tasks include C# components for credit card processing, data encryption (AES, RSA), Crystal Reports 11.5 RDC integration, and web service interfaces for hospital systems.

Served as the lead developer and project lead for HL7 integration for a patient feeding software suite. Developed and managed a highly configurable HL7 interface application utilizing C#, XML, and a SQL Server backend to read ADT and ORM data from hospital systems including Meditech, Invision, Cerner, STAR and HL7 engines including eGate, DataGate, CloverLeaf, Iguana, and MIRTH.Other responsibilities included managing requirements and development schedules, documenting configuration processes and testing guidelines and procedures, and training installers to prepare them for implementation and testing responsibilities.

Worked on a team of developers enhancing and maintaining POS solutions utilizing VB6, Crystal Reports 8, SQL Server, and Access.

Woodstock, Ga

Part-time contract work to enhance and maintain the company’s internal CRM and Billing suite, written in VB6 with an Oracle database, to improve performance and efficiency as well as development of extensive automation processes to improve user productivity. Developed and implemented several C# web service interfaces with property management software packages (Yardi and RealPage) to synchronize resident data with the OnePoint Oracle database, an utilizing web services to upload billing charges to the property management software. Developed a billing charge auto-draft process for customer bill payments made through the company website. This was achieved using a Windows service and series of web services to process credit card authorizations for account balances due for payment.
