As a part of the Engineering advancement team, I work to build strong positive relationships between Engineering and alumni, donors, students and friends of the college. I also plan, coordinate, promote and staff various donor, alumni and student-related events and programs.• Plan and implement special events and processes that will directly influence donor and alumni relationships through creative strategies, engagement and experiences. • Formulate a comprehensive, campaign-focused strategy in order to lead the special event initiatives related to an ongoing campaign to raise $100 million in unrestricted scholarship support.• Coordinate and implement programs and opportunities that connect domestic and international alumni and donors back to the College of Engineering for a variety of strategic purposes. These programs include a diverse subset of responsibilities related to event planning: project planning timelines, event strategy, marketing plans, financial feasibility, program development, vendor selection/management and event evaluations/analytics. • Created and currently manage performance metrics program used to evaluate special events both qualitatively and quantitatively in order to measure event success, return on investment (ROI) and evaluation of event strategy for future purposes. • Represent the College of Engineering as special events liaison to Departments within the College while serving as a resource for policies and procedures as they relate to special events.• Engage with alumni and donors on a regular basis including: event strategy collaboration, solicitation for sponsorships, procuring appropriate speakers and event feedback. • Directly supervise one special event employee while performing the above responsibilities.

• Marketed, coordinated and hosted events that ranged in size and functionality for the Economic Development Corporation. These events included stewarding relationships with stakeholders, cultivating new partnerships with organizations and showcasing the need of the non-profit to the community. • Managed branding initiatives and optimized visibility of the company through publications, social media, website maintenance and all other print and electronic communication; including a complete re-brand of the organization while working with a committee formed from leaders within the Champaign-Urbana community. These responsibilities also included serving as the graphic designer for the corporation. • Developed and wrote monthly newsletters, consultant information and investor information for the purposes of cultivating and stewarding relationships of crucial partners to the organization.• Served as the point of contact regarding all communication and marketing associated responsibilities for the Board of Directors, Executive Board and seven committees comprised of business leaders within the Champaign-Urbana community.

• Represented Pearson as the publishing sales representative for a territory of seven colleges and universities across central Illinois while strategically traveling to sites and meeting with higher education professionals. • Marketed and promoted Pearson Education products in a variety of methods – including special events, media showcases, one-to-one sales, cold calls and cold visits. • Developed appropriate teaching materials for professors to use in the classroom while stewarding their relationship with Pearson Education. This included creating proposals for professors interested in publishing their work with the company. • Strategized with a variety of members of the sales force team across the United States to enhance my knowledge base of products and skills needed to succeed.
