This included driver and configuration interface development for the Windows, MacOS and Unix platforms. The team also developed all client software for the Lucent secure 802.11 product line called the AS-1000. After leading my team in integrating all of the embedded VxWorks code used in Lucent’s different WaveLAN 802.11 access point products for the Enterprise, Secure Enterprise, SOHO and Outdoor markets, I was promoted by the Director of the division to Sr. Manager and tasked with the duties described above. About six months after this promotion, Lucent spun it’s semiconductor division out into a new company called Agere Systems and the entire Lucent Wireless Division was moved into that new company.[Ascend Communications was bought by Lucent Technologies.]
