First Six Criminal Law Pupil under the supervision of Simon Eckersley.Former Senior Lecturer in Law, academic specialist in Criminal and Professional Regulatory Law.________________________________________________________________________________Extended Bio, on the off-chance you are particularly bored/doom-scrolling________________________________________________________________________________Philip graduated with first class honours in Law from the University of Derby in 2018, and was awarded his LL.M. with distinction in 2020 from Nottingham Law School. Philip has, since 2018 enjoyed a mixed career as a legal academic, and County Court Advocate. In academia Philip reached the grade of Senior Lecturer, where he specialised in Criminal and Professional Regulatory Law. Through this work he has published a textbook on criminal law, and founded the British Journal of Professional Regulatory Law.Through his County Court Advocacy practice Philip exercised rights of audience in the County Court as an exempt individual, often dealing with contested applications and trials on the small claims track, as well as, accepting, appropriate, returns when civil counsel was unavailable. Philip regularly benefited from repeat instructions and often received instructions following his being specifically requested by professional and/or lay clients. Philip's role also extended to strategic and tactical advice, often being relied on as a critical friend to those who instructed and supervised him.Phil's favourite animal is the Red Panda, his favourite colour is that dusty pink that seems only to be used for legal ribbon, and his favourite food is, well, whatever is on the court menu (hopefully something with chips).
