Patrick Gentile, ('Pat") is a Senior Business, Financial Executive and CPA with over 30 years of multi-national operational and financial experience in a managerial capacity, with over 25 years of progressive responsibility in one organization.After a successful 25 year business career as the CFO and COO of American Banknote, my main focus has been on providing our underserved communities throughout Connecticut with best in class tax free advocacy through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, ('VITA"). As a result, I and my fellow volunteers have created SimplifyCT, a non-profit dedicated to the mission of building partnerships and coalitions to provide and serve CT’s Alice population through impactful family economic empowerment initiatives.Our goal is to make sure the tax code is equitable to everyone in our community so that our most underserved population are never left behind from receiving the cash benefits they are legally entitled to obtain. We believe that the two biggest anti-poverty tools in CT and the Nation are the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Credit and we use these tools to help our at-risk community have sustainable benefits that will allow their families to have an economic lifeline to overcome and prevent poverty.
