About Peter Lacey

30 years of computer industry and software development experience across a broad spectrum of technologies. I specialize in application design and development of multi-tiered Web applications. Especially using robust application frameworks, lean design principals, and modern tooling.I am currently the CTO of Synclinical Quality Assurance. Synclinical develops Web-based, SAAS solutions for the life sciences industry. We recently released Synclinical Ready Room, a cloud-based system for managing regulatory inspection logistics.. Previously I have held development/management positions at companies such as Liberty Mutual, CloudHealth, Dyn, Sonian, and Collaborative Software Initiative. Professional development has been primarily in Elixir (Phoenix), Ruby (Rails), and JavaScript.Going further back in time, I've held development, management, sales, and analyst positions at companies such as Systinet, the Burton Group, Cisco, and Netscape.I'm deeply interested in all open source technologies. Especially skilled in the creation of Elixir and Ruby-based Web applications on cloud-hosted platforms, as well as a variety of relational and non-relational databases. Practiced in lean/agile development techniques. Experienced in the design and development of RESTful, scalable, production-ready applications. And deeply in love with Git.
