Educated in both hardware- and software technology at "HTS Enschede" (bachelor degree in computer science), I have a very broad experience in IT.Currently I work as an IT project manager for Apollo Vredestein B.V. Apollo is a worldwide tyre company and Vredestein is it's top brand. At Apollo Vredestein my projects vary from, Document Management (Docova, IBM Domino), Siemens Lims (laboratory software), Project Planning (MS Project) and IT infrastructure. My main focus is Apollo's R&D organization. Implementing IT is more about managing change processes than managing technical challenges. Lately I am very interested in User Adaptation Strategies as part of the IT implementation process.After working hours I am a trainer at the local athletics club (Ac-Tion). I like to run. I am a runner. I run half marathons and marathons. This year I completed the Rotterdam marathon in 3:14 hours. For me, running is a "stress releaser". It creates a perfect balance between body and mind activities.I started my career as a software developer (embedded software) for ICT in Deventer the Netherlands. In those years I worked for several of ICT's clients developing software for equipment like digital television (Philips).During this period I did a three years Business school (SWOT at Twente University) to add management skills to my technical education.At Rudico I could combine technical and people skills. First as head of IT department where I focused on technical topics like: infrastructure, servers and ITIL. Later, as member of the management team, I focused on improving business processes. Specifically production processes using Lean Production techniques and the Theory of Constraints (Goldratt).
