I am currently a Senior lecturer at CODE: University of Applied Sciences Berlin, Academic Support tutor on the Product, Ceramic and Industrial Design programme at Central Saint Martins (UAL), where I am also a Research Associate with the Design Against Crime Research Lab.I'm a self-motivated and enthusiastic professional with over 10 years combined experience in advertising, design, teaching and learning in higher education, management consultancy and social innovation. More than 5 years experience designing and facilitating small and large scale teaching and learning environments as well as workshops within HEI, staff development and cultural engagement. The approach to research involved a responsive evaluation at key points throughout the MATTA course, namely at the end of teaching and learning 'blocks'. At these points semi structured interviews were undertaken with participants (through voluntary participation) to understand their experiences. Show less -

The project aims to break the cycle of repeat offending by equipping inmates with skills and the thinking processes to help them find employment on release. The focus of this activity was the design and manufacture of anti-theft bags to be sold under the Makeright label in Sue Ryder (a UK based charity) shops. I have been delivering this project at HMP Thameside in London since September 2015 and successfully delivered 8 courses, worked with 80 inmates and 30 design volunteers who have provided mentoring support.
