Paul West is an independent consultant in the fields of ICT, education, open education resources and open learning, knowledge management and project management. He supports professionals and policy-makers through key services, including collaboration and the aggregation and sharing of information and useful practices through consultancies and communities of practice. Paul leads and participates in projects that provide innovation to increase access and improve quality of education. Paul supports the Education for Employability (E4E) programme in South Africa as Key Expert - Education and Skills. He previously fulfilled the roles of expert in collaboration and coordination and Backstopper.As the Chapter Lead in South Africa for Creative Commons, Paul leads the coordination and management of the Chapter, both in terms of governance and activities and serve as the main point of contact for Creative Commons HQ. Paul is a Creative Commons Certificate course facilitator.  In London, United Kingdom, Paul led the Commonwealth Education Hub project to enable policy makers and professionals connect and collaborate (https://www.thecommonwealth-educationhub.net/). In Pretoria, South Africa, Paul worked to establish South Africa's national Career Development Service (http://www.careerhelp.org.za).
