In ordem to better understand me as a creative, it’s important to know a minor, but still important, detail of my background: I graduated as a mechanic engineer. This explains a lot how I understand my profession. Creative work has to be first and foremost the answer to a communication problem. The most creative work is not the one that necessarily wins many of the industry awards, but the one that solves the clients’ problem and gets the best results in the market. Awards are only the recognition of a job well done, or at least, should be that.I started my career at Ogilvy, where I had the opportunity to work and learn from amazing people. Methods, procedures, how to handle meetings, much of what I know today I owe to the 10 incredible years I spent there. After that, several agencies, different clients and many clients followed.Cases? I do have a few in my collection. The most recent one “ The cervejao” campaign for Nova Schin beer, was able to place this brand as Top of Mind in one of the most competitive markets in the country.I have never oriented my career towards getting awards, but yes, there have been some of them. The most recent ones are a Silver Award at Cannes Festival, a Grand Prix at the New York Festival, a Gold at One Show, and a Gold at Fiap with the “Letras” campaignfor Fiat, when I was working at Leo Burnett.In the last years as CCO and partner at Mood/TBWA we opted not to subscribe to any Festivals. During this period we were able to win 6 pitches for the agency: Brasilprev, Porto Seguro, Desenvolve SP, Safra Bank, Conecta Carrier and Porto Seguro Cards.Nowadays I am focused on creating new ideas for the digital environment and their interaction with other media.
