Environment, nature and climate change interest me. I spent time outdoors to relax, bike, hike, ski and and also to experience different natural phenomenas. Professionally I have been involved with environmental topics e.g. studing meteorology, doing research on ice crystals, working with environmental research infrastructures. My expertise is on research coordination and project management. Collaboration around and beoynd European environmental Research Infrastructures (RI) has been on my interest for years. For the past few years I worked mainly on national level enhancing collaboration between national Solid Earth science actors and EPOS RI (European Plate Observing System). These coordination and management task were supported by the Research Council of Finland through their national research infrastructure funding (FIRI). Before that I had the priviliage to be involved in coordination tasks related to setting up an ACTRIS ERIC (European RI Consortium of Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases Research Infrastructure) ) and its Head Office to Finland.My scientific background is in Meteorology (PhD). I have been using and developing several atmospheric models to increase understanding how atmospheric ice crystal and dust particles interact with shortwave (solar) radiation. After my PhD thesis on radiative impacts of atmospheric ice and dust, I took part in a research project investigating how climate change affects midlatitude cyclones. I'm familiar with scattering and radiative transfer theories, Linux environment, as well as programs like Matlab, Fortran, and Bash. I have experience on international project coordination, development & implementation of research infrastructures, and communication.
