After half a year of research and planning, Ohio E-Waste opened its doors January, 2008. By mid 2008, the grinding and processing equipment was installed. At that point we expanded into product take back and destruction. We also began certifying destruction of hard drives and sensitive material for the financial sector, the government, and other businesses within the private sector. Ohio EWaste grew in 2009 to include both ferrous and non ferrous recycling at the consumer level, as well as all kinds of plastics and e-waste. We also purchased hot wire cutters to properly dismantle old television and computer monitor CRT’s. Only three other facilities in the state of Ohio use similar technology. In fall of 2009 we started producing bio-fuel out of ground wood pallets for use as boiler fuel.We developed new processes for handling all types of post industrial and post consumer e-waste.
