I learned to work hard from a very young age and I have always been motivated to be successful in any line of work that I participate in. When I was only fourteen years old I started a landscaping business with my older brother. I learned a lot about working with people and managing prices to meet the needs of the customers. A few years later when I was sixteen I got my first sales job working for Collins and Associates Insurance. I worked as a sales assistant doing a variety of different tasks ranging from upgrading current clients to finding new buyers and even in starting the sales process. While working there I further developed the ability to maintain customer satisfaction while selling the companies services. I also learned to work on a team with other sales assistants and insurance agents towards meeting the goals of the company. I was the highest performing sales assistant for the majority of the time that I worked at Collins and Associates.After graduating high school I volunteered as a missionary for my church for two years in the South American Nation of Chile. As a missionary I learned to work with all kinds of people and to gain their trust. I was involved in many different service efforts such as teaching English, construction, and going door to door teaching people about Christ. For ten months I was in charge of managing the activities of up to twenty other missionaries. I also learned to speak fluent Spanish.Upon returning from missionary service I began to work in the construction field as an electricians apprentice and I continue in the field currently as I attend BYUI as a business student. Working while attending college has also helped me develop skills such as time management and diligence. I am now developing business skills and I hope to apply them and everything else that I have learned from my short years of experience to further the success of a lucky company as soon as I graduate.
