Joining the sales team was a very exciting experience that I got the opportunities to coordinate with different people in the head office as well as my peers in other offices. I found great joy in working with people and it became one of my biggest strengths after being appointed with the new role - Pricing & Sales Planning Analyst. Furthermore, the position also brought me an opportunity to oversee the business across different channels (agency, corporate, digital, direct, etc.) and the contribution into more projects required complex data analysis. My key responsibility was driving the Vietnam sales team to hit the revenue target by initiating the right pricing product and strategy based on data analysis. I worked on numerous projects which involved different departments; led major sales campaigns & made sure all tasks were delivered on time. The job helped me realize my passion for numbers. I enjoyed uncovering the story behind every number which speeded up the process of solving a problem. This was a key factor which helped me succeed in the internal interview with the People Manager and Head of Sales by late 2015. The job gave me opportunities to be involved in product deployment and business development. I identified opportunities in different market segments, from banks to e-commerce platforms and went through the process to convert opportunities into business to improve digital sales performance and brand awareness. What I loved about the job were the analysis projects which gave me the basic knowledge about business acumen. In particular, I conducted deep-dive research in sales records and customer information to derive insights and build up relevant fare products and ultimately to generate incremental revenue.I also proactively became a local contact point for top-level frequent customers, in which I consulted on their membership information, received requests and escalated to head office.The job was very challenging but also rewarding because of different achievements: we were successfully the very first airline in the market to launch a 0% Installment Plan Program with HSBC in early 2017 without any cash advance.
