Supporting the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Assembly in developing and approving the first Law on Public Private Partnership. Support the development and operations of Sub-Committee on PPP including members from the Government and business community to promote good PPP practices in Vietnam.

Promoted partnership, innovation, reforms, competitiveness, development and had fun.

Designed and delivered technical assistance in legal, regulatory reform and initiatives to enhance competitiveness, governance, trade liberalization, and growth.

Worked on functional design of a software for law and rule making to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, and transparency; Designed research on legal transparency and policy development.

Worked with a team of local and international professionals to ensure effective design and delivery of technical assistance to Vietnam to support reforms and economic integration. Successfully completed STAR I and STAR II programs worth US$25 million that supported Vietnam to join and implement WTO and currently working on third phase STAR Plus worth US$11.7 million. Specific tasks include:Manage strategic relationships with key counterparts (e.g., National Assembly, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Communist Party, Ministry of Trade etc.).Identify opportunities for co-operation with state agencies.Review and provide input to all STAR’s reports and analysis to ensure they makes sense and are actionable.Manage local staff to help them deliver their best to and excel in the project, and institute a spirit of teamwork and result-orientation within the project.

Managed the Vietnam Business Forum (http://www.vbf.org.vn/) which is a policy dialogue between businesses and the Government. Specific tasks:Worked closely with business associations, private companies, donors and government counterparts to foster constructive and productive discussion to resolve policy issues.Organized regular meetings between working groups and the government in all areas of concerns (e.g. reform in administration, tax, land, finance and banking, infrastructure, etc).Disseminated information to concerned parties and maintain good working relationship with all parties involved.Reviewed some investment proposals.Designed and administrated the forum webpage.

Supported Vietnam to rewrite the regulation on valuation of state owned enterprises (SOEs) going public and oversight of SOEs.Responsible for the progression of Project Office day-to-day activities to make sure that all project activities meet the plans and agendas agreed upon by all parties.Collaborated closely with International resident advisor, consultants and counterpart staff working on the Project to fully utilise their capacities. Updated information (progress, regulations and best practices) on equitization, corporate governance and financial management for accessing by consultants and counterpart staff.Participated with consultants in fieldwork interviews, data analysis and technical discussions with MOF, ensuring maximum degree of understanding and skill transfer to the Vietnamese counterpart.Acted as official contacting party between the Project and UNDP/concerned agencies.Assumed management over project office staff.

Imported cement plants and spare parts for cement plants. Participated in negotiation and conclusion of contracts with international suppliers.Ensured delivery of goods at port entry as well as on sites.Prepared document for customs clearance and shipment.Handled complaints and disputes.

Prepared international contracts on import oils, lubricants into Vietnam.Participated in developing a gas project in Vietnam.Devised a program to track inventory using computer software instead of manual.Promoted to be assistant to CEO for short while.
