This new role and formed and led to build a capacity like BOT. Resulted in a 2Mn USD savings in the first year itself.

My responsibilities aren't limited, but include:• Strategic Sourcing & Procurement of Raw Materials & Indirect spares for the end customer by analyzing the spend data• Conducting Opportunity analysis and identifying the spend variations by using techniques such as Unit Price variance analyses, Quantity variance, Vendor performance as initial stages so as to obtain commendable savings• Implementing sourcing strategies such as De-Risking, Alternate sourcing, Volumetric analyses, Vendor consolidation, Volume consolidation/ break-bulk etc,.• To execute the Sourcing strategies by conducting negotiations, forming contracts and by conducting, RFP, reverse auctions etc.• Handled direct material spends of USD 120 mn for one of the biggest personal care company based out of USA and Mexico. Conducted Opportunity analysis, Market Intelligence for the opportunities, recommended probable Savings scenarios with risk/ advantages of implementation.• Savings of approximately $2 mn were identified by doing Category strategy implementation• Currently handling USD 300 mn spends for world’s biggest personal care manufacturer for Indirect category with sub-category as MRO. This position involves conducting spend analysis, OA, MI, Vendor evaluation score cards (using SAP spend data), forming probable category strategies for cost reduction and improving the procurement practices by preparing user-friendly documents and suggesting process improvements • As a part of support for other projects for Brazil, Mexico & US, created user-friendly tools on Excel in other accounts for which I was hugely appreciated (Ex. Distance retrieval between two cities with data retrieval from Google maps, Automated supplier score card for RFI analyses for a largest global chemical manufacturer • Writing blogs for the company portal on supply chain industry is one of my personal interest and creating market intelligence documents of other sectors to study the performance, in leisure time.

Implemented SAP over a period of 6 months by closely working with the implementation team. Hence, extensive expertise of SAP generated from this exposure for project management & Database management.• Developed documentation as per ISO/TS 16949: 2009 standards.• Internal Auditor for ISO/TS standards for Purchase department and in the course of time changed and developed the SOPs, and identified and used SAP as a tool for vendor evaluation.

As a Summer intern, in the given period of 60 days, my role was to Study and suggest improvements in Manpower Efficiency of a manually operated FMCG Warehouse (ITC Ltd.)1. Working in FMCG warehouse and calculating TAT for the Incoming vehicles.4. Suggesting recommendations for improving manpower efficiency & TAT in the warehouse3. Identified and recommended suggestions for partial automation in Personal care section where people carry and drag goods of more than a Ton on pallet manually. This not only was increasing the TAT. but also reducing the manpower efficiency. 4. Developed a skill matrix for the available workers in the warehouse so as to optimally allocate the workers by age group at appropriate locations. 5. Provided training material for educating the workers in handling & storage of goods.
