Hi, my name's William Phan!I'm a student attending Elite Scholars Academy, class of 2027.I think it's important to find justice - not just for those who can afford it, but for everyone. That's why I'm studying to become a paralegal in the future.As an first-generation Asian-American, I've seen an array of heinous crimes committed against my community, and I couldn't bring myself to believe that my parents or family members could be victims as well. There were over 2,100 hate crimes committed against Asians in the three-month span between March and June of 2020. This is absolutely unacceptable.Again, all crimes should be important to us as Americans - not just those committed against the ethnic majority.I hope you can understand and support my efforts!
