I am a Mandela Washington Fellow 2021, a prestigious program that recognizes Emerging Leaders in the Continent.As the Senior Team Leader of the Employability and Entrepreneurship Development department, I am responsible for designing and implementing programs that equip students and alumni with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to succeed in the changing and competitive job market. I also collaborate with industry players, skill development centers, and other alliances to create opportunities for co-creation, mentorship, and networking. This involves liaising with organizations such as Botswana National Youth Council and the Department of Youth and Culture which have the same mandate as YALDA. I manage the day to day business of the organization and develop procedures for the implementation of the Organization's policies and goals such as the proposed biennial YALDA conference in Africa. Also responsible for auditing finances. Co-Chair of the Conference Planning Committee. • Recently represented Botswana and YALDA at a Technical Consultation Meeting on African Youth Charter Implementation and Accountability by the African Union member states which was held at the AU Headquarters in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa from the 3rd-4th November 2011.
