I lead various dance courses that are designed to improve the skills of students, ages 2-13. This is done by creating engaging, challenging, and rewarding, lessons, activities, exercises, and other materials. With these tools, students learn about multiple dance styles and corresponding dance techniques, concepts, and history. These lessons also integrate elements of anatomy, physiology, health, and lifestyle, as they all greatly impact how one dances and appreciates dancing. In all classes, I demonstrate proper mechanics, observe student progress, and motivate all to further explore their love for dance.Key contributions / achievements:► During the Covid-19 pandemic, successful transitioned course into an online format with web tutorials through Google Classroom and Zoom.► Function as the Choreographer / Artistic Director for Winter and Summer Culminating Events. For winter recitals and spring graduation ceremonies, I am the sole choreographer while overseeing costume design, lighting, and video and music editing.► Serve as an After-school Tutor for children in grades K-6, covering math science, and language arts topics.► Was recognized in the summer of 2019 with the “Best Teacher Award”.

Creative Movement and Ballet/Jazz Instructor

I assisted the lead teacher with creating and sustaining an inclusive and academically stimulating learning environment in which young children excelled. Preschoolers and kindergarteners continuously reached new growth and development milestones. I contributed to lesson planning, worked with students one-on-one or in groups to reinforce concepts covered in class, provided support to bilingual students, co-managed the class, and monitored the progress of each pupil. Additionally, I led lessons that utilized differentiated instruction that engaged each learner.Key contributions / achievements:► Functioned as an after school teacher.

I instructed dance students, ages 6-18, on numerous dance styles and corresponding mechanics / techniques. Having led trainings, practices, and arranged choreographed performances, students experienced great improvement in regard to their dancing abilities. With each pupil, I supplied constructive feedback and encouragement, which kept dancers motivated. For dance performances, I implemented original, expressive, and technically sound choreography. Outside of teaching, I led fundraising efforts to secure funding and raise awareness of the program.Key contributions / achievements:► The main dance styles taught were Ballet and Hip-Hop.► Original choreography was featured in performances at Brooklyn College, Lehman College, and The Bronx Arts Museum, among other illustrious venues.► While with New Settlement Apartment, I spent time working within every department.► Was an Afterschool Tutor.

I trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Repertory, Improvisation, Solo, Group and Partner Work choreographing original solo and group pieces. I created publications including flyers, newsletters and posters. I learned and developed Stage Management, Costume, Sound and Lighting tech Experience. Performed original pieces at various venues throughout the Tri-state area.
