-I answer an average of 30 emails daily, with a few phone calls and in-person appointments in between, to ensure the satisfaction and quality of care to the concerns and questions asked by our students, parents, and other customers. -A few months into the position I was put in charge of a special project that involved increased access, responsibility, management of time, team work as well as working independently to meet a deadline, and increased use of Microsoft Office. -Administrative tasks such as restocking supplies, making appointments, contacting other departments for clarification questions, and maintaining an organized and clean work space.- Experience with assisting in the hiring process for potential new employees.

By listening to customer requests and complaints, fixing customer orders, and working at an efficient pace I was able to provide quality service to customers.By being aware of my surroundings and the atmosphere of my co-workers and customers I was able to maintain a good relationship with my co-workers and work effectively as a team.

The River School

I​ ​worked ​twice​ ​a​ ​week​ ​at​ ​The​ ​River​ ​School​ ​with​ ​a​ mixed ​group​ ​of​ ​children​ aged up to​ ​10​ ​years​ ​for​ ​​3​ ​hours. About half of the students had some degree of hearing loss sustained with hearing devices such as hearing aids and/or cochlear implants; because of this I was exposed to working with children who required additional assistance in some classroom settings. I was also responsible for making sure the children's devices were working, and when they weren't I needed to be able to do some basic trouble shooting such as changing the batteries or seeing if the device needed to be cleaned.

-At the IT Help Desk I answered and aided customers with their computer soft and hardware issues over the phone, and if the issue could not be resolved via this method I would go help them at their office. ​-By replacing​ ​computer​ ​parts, ​ ​re-imaging​ ​computers, ​ ​installing​ ​computers, ​ ​installing​ ​programs​ ​and software​ ​onto​ ​computers, I improved and further developed my intermediate computer skills.

-I worked with a group of elementary aged children with a variety of language learning disabilities at the LAB schools intensive reading Summer Camp program.-Maintaining clean classrooms, monitoring student behavior and helping to pass out materials ensured facilitating an effective learning environment while the children were in different activities. Learning how each student responded best to different forms of encouragement and discipline helped establish good relationships and aided in maintaining a fun atmosphere at camp.- I also worked as an administrative and research assistant at the​ ​LAB​ ​school​ Speech​ ​Pathology​ ​Department. ​I was tasked with using the ASHA database to find methods and tools to aid adolescent literacy skills. This research was meant to help the Speech Pathologists at the LAB school work with their high school population in helping them prepare for college. -Laminating documents and flashcards, as well as playing word games with clients when their SP was out of the office helped the Speech Pathologists with their workload and gave me the opportunity to assist them with their clients.
