The Sidesmith is a recipe website dedicated to salads, side dishes and dressings. We publish weekly salad and side dish recipes, dressings and ingredient pairings on our website and have crafted a unique niche that not many have acquired around the world.We have approached this as a business from the get-go and have not hesitated in investing capital and dedicated time to build this website to become an income stream.My key role is to establish the brand, heighten brand awareness and develop business partnerships.I am responsible for the brand’s social media marketing, paid advertising, promotional graphic design content, public relations and collaborative relationships.Within 1.5 years of launch, we reached our first significant milestone of hitting 50K website visits within a month, of which social media contributed to a phenomenal 11% of that. This resulted in an acceptance into one of the industry's most sought after advertising networks, Mediavine.To date, we have worked with some of Australia’s top brands and organisations, including Yarra Valley Cheese, Meredith Dairy, Made In Japan, Cargo Crew and Nutrition Australia.I do not doubt that this business venture will continue to succeed and be a revenue stream.
